SpotRight, Inc. Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes the data collection and retention practices made by our company, SpotRight Inc. (“SpotRight“), during our collection of data made public by users of the internet (“Public Data“). We are committed to protecting the privacy of the users that created the Public Data, and let this policy speak to that committment. In addition, the Privacy Policy will speak to our software API and how the users of the API will be protected. Any terms not capitalized, or in need of further explanation, in this Privacy Policy can be found in our Terms of Service.

1. Our Privacy Principle Regarding Children: At no point do we purposefully gather Public Data generated by persons who are considered legally to be minors.

1. Types of Data SpotRight Collects:
   1. Public Data — means data that has been obtained through open means on the internet through third party sites, and in no way was this data obtained by accessing a users’ account. Third party sites include, but are not limited to, Facebook, Google, Google+, Twitter, Quora, Linkedin, Blogspot, wordpress, etc. Examples of such data include a blog about bowling techniques, or tweeting about race car driving, or a wall message about sky diving on Facebook

    

   1. Personal Data — means data that allows someone to identify or contact you. For example, your name, address, phone number, or company name.

    

   1. Information Provided by You to SpotRight
      • At the time of account creation we will collect Personal Data such as your first and last name, e-mail, professional title, and company name.
      • If you contact us via e-mail, or via the site contact form, we will collect your name and e-mail address, as well as any content included in the e-mail.
      • Site surveys are optional, but will warn you when we are going to collect additional Personal Data.
      • At no time will SpotRight store, record, or request you to provide a password outside of the social single sign-on application. We will never send you an email indicating that you need to reset your password. Any emails stating such are false and should be reported to spotright immediately.
      • Billing and payment information will be worked out on a case-by-case basis while we are in beta. At such a time, the details of additional Personal Data to be gathered will be made clear to the affected parties.
   1. Information Collected and Used by SpotRight
      • Log Data is collected on every visit to the spotright website. Log data is information that is gathered when you browse our site. This information can include, and is not limited to, your IP address, browser type, your domain name, web pages visited on our site, and any information provided by you on our site. The purposes of the Log Data is to help employee’s of SpotRight determine this site’s technical issues; thereby, increasing your end user experience. In no way do we associate this Log Data with your Personal Data.
      • Our core business is gathering Public Data, correlating, and presenting that Public Data to interested third parties — Our clients. This data is gathered through an ongoing basis by a set of systems under SpotRight control, and in no way is this collection effort ever controlled or influenced by the clients of our site.
      • SpotRight will use both session and persistent Cookies as necessary to improve the end user experience. Cookies in general are installed on your computer at the time of your visit to our site. Session cookies will automatically disappear when you close your browser. While persistent cookies will remain on your system until you delete them. To remove cookies, please consult your browser’s help file.
      • Presentation of our core business is done through the SpotRight API. This API can only retrieve normalized Public Data from our core systems. Access to this information is controlled by the use of an API key that is unique to each user. At no time will the user have an command-and-control of our collection agents or be able to manipulate the Public Data.

• Use of Your Personal Data.Any Personal Data you submit to SpotRight will be used primarily to respond to your specific requests. However, from time-to-time we’ll need to use your personal information in the following ways:
  • Creation and security of your account
  • Indentification and authorization as a user in our system
  • Increase your experience of our site and services
  • Sending of an authorization e-mail to verify ownership of the e-mail address provided when your account was created
  • Sending you administrative e-mail notifications for purposes of security alerting, support or maintenance
  • Sending of newsletters and surveys in order to notify you of changes to our services, or for the purposes of improving those same services.
  • Respond to your inquiries related to employment opportunities or other requests

• Third Party Websites. SpotRight provides links to other sites. Should you click one of these links you will leave our site, and will be at a new entity not owned, endorsed, or operated by SpotRight. In this event, you will be subject to that entities data collection policy. At which time your Personal Data may be collected. SpotRight has no control over these external entities. As such, SpotRight cannot be responsible for these outside websites or their content. Please be aware that the terms of this Privacy Policy do not apply to these outside websites or content, or to any collection of data after you click on links to such outside websites.

• Security of Your Public Data.
  1. Removal of your Public Data. SpotRight takes your security seriously. We appreciate the fact that some folks just want to keep themselves private on the internet. In the event, for what ever reason, you should not want us to have your data. Please send an email to privacy@spotright.comwith the following information:
     • First and Last Name
     • Contact info — Preferrably a phone number and an email address
     • Best time to reach you
     • Your website(s) and/or content that you are concerned about
     • Brief message on your need

     Upon receipt of your email we will have a representative from SpotRight get in touch with you, and assist you in removing your information from our database. You will not need to repeat this process as we will ensure our collection agents do not collect your Public Data again.

   

  1. Security Measures Taken. SpotRight utilizes industry standard technologies and procedures to ensure your public data is protected from unauthorized modifications, use, or dislosure. In addition, we require strong authentication mechanisms to access this site, and track the usage of our API. We at SpotRight feel we have committed to reasonable efforts to protect what is already made publicly available. As such, we will make any legally-required disclosures of any breach of the security measures. Such disclosures can include emails or postings on this site.
